Going to a Gig - another thread, another content :-)
Hey Mates,
I`m living in Hamburg, Germany and just came back from a concert of the awesome band MUSE (www.muse.mu).
They`re really great and live they are even better.
After about 2 hours of going with the flow and partially pogen (actually, that`s a german word, I think; it describes to jump with the music, but more or less without the violence of a moshpit) my knee feels like being rolled over by at least 10 heavy-loaded trucks.
No fishing for pity :-), I just want to know, if and how you prepare for such activities. Do you subtitute factor or take pain-killers in advance?
We all know, a doctors advice would be: relax, don`t stress your body too much, take care of yourself.
Besides making a brake from any activity for a while is nearly anytime possible and appropriate, most of you`ll know that sometimes a heamophiliac bends his borders. How do you prepare (and repair) for such cases?

I`m seeing them in February and cannot wait.
Anyway, before any big music event, I have a treatment before and usually the day after to make sure any pain that I do suffer is not from a bleed but from sheer exhaustion.
I drink lots of water and only pain-killers if I need them.

Usually for a concert I would not take any medicine before, but then I do not do a lot of pogen!
Anyway, I tend to do like you - hope that nothing happens, and if something does, treat it afterwards. I would not recommend anyone else to do the same, though, since the joints are potentially damaged each time there is a bleeding.
For anyone, who does not know MUSE, here is a video to check it out:

Even though this is another thread with another content, I would just like to mention the we had our concert event last Saturday. A huge success as 15 people turned up - this is 2-3 times as many as for our last couple of activities. And, big surprise, about half were women! Many new faces too, so hopefully this will give new momentum to our activities in the future. I will write a bit more about it later, maybe even a full article.
