How much does the bleeding disorder affect your life?
My hemophilia does not affect me much in my daily life. I have some problems with my left hip but no other injuries or side-effects.
Which possibilities for treatment do you have?
I have access to treatment with recombinant factor-concentrate at any time in my home. I use on-demand treatment and sometimes prophylactics for special occasions. I visit a hemophilia treatment center ones a year.
What kind of contact do you have with other young people with bleeding disorders?
I used to be the chairman of the youth committee within the Swedish Hemophilia Society (but I have retired because of my old age :) I know a lot of young people with bleeding disorders both in Sweden and abroad. I think it’s very important to meet other bleeders and share knowledge and experience.
What would you like to know about other young people with bleeding disorders around the world?
I have a genuine interest in people and culture. I’m interested in general life in other parts of the world as well as hemophilia related issues. I enjoy travelling and I always have at least three guide books on my bedside table.
